We are currently looking at a Quizno's Subs TI. Anyone familiar with them. Having never done one, I hesitate due to the fact that the lighting and switchgear are provided by the owner. I tend to shy away from this type of situation.
Any news? good? bad?

| I hope they don't use the cheapest equipment they can find. This could easily add to your installation time.

| You loose what ever mark up you may have had if you would have provided lighting and gear. On the other hand you are not tieing up capitol and time and storage for these items.
I just made sure I covered myself in my proposal clairification regarding delivery, handling, storage, theft, loss, breakage, lamps, missing items, warranty, etc, etc.
Also triple check any contract documents if you end up being awarded the job for same said items.
Also, If you are in a position where you are purchasing these items from their supplier make sure your quote on these items match the drawings and specifications exactly per counts and types.

| Thanks. That is what I was thinking. Limit my handling to installation only. I won't take responsibility for receiving. Also, any damaged or wrong equipment is not on me, and any delays or extra work is billable.
Oh, I should say that I would be shocked if I do get the project due to the above stipulations. But just in case.
Thanks

| FWIW, we walked away from bidding a Quizno's store job last year. There were too many "loose ends" that I could not deal with, among them was the fact that they wanted to re-use too much of the old crap that was abandonded in that building, and other anomalies
I later heard that the company that eventually got that contract lost their tails big time. To the tune of several thousand dollars!
Glad we didn't waste our time with that project!!

| Just as an update. Came up with a price (around $10,500) and tacked on $2000 just in case. Have no expectations of getting the project, but not sure that I want it.
Thanks for all the help.
