| David Hyatt | I always use 8'x 5/8 ground rod. When can you use 1/2 rods? The suppliers sell these why can't we use them??? |

| lctrc789 | We use 1/2 inch copper clad rods and they are allowed in many areas however if it is Galvanized it must be 5/8 minimum... Different localities have different codes on this. Always check with your local utility or local inspector... |
