Dolphins Software the developers of Volts have agreed to allow EK to host this forum as the official discussion and support area for the Volts program.
What Does Volts Do? When designing a new electrical installation or adding a new circuit to an existing installation. Volts does all the necessary computations for sizing all the conductors, circuit breakers, raceways, box fill, pull boxes, transformers and more to NEC 2005 and IEEE specifications. Additionally, Volts prints out all the necessary materials list, panel schedules, panel directory, feeder schedule, load summary, grounding and bonding drawing and one line riser diagram supporting the additions or new installations.
Volts is easy to use, eye pleasing and extremely powerful. Volts was built with the electrician and design engineer in mind. Volts recently won EC&M's Best Product of the Year award in the software catagory and was favorably reviewed in the September 2004 issue of the NECDigest.
Volts is less expensive if you purchase it here you'll save $50. This is the lowest price for Volts anywhere.

| How about a PPC version. I use my PDA all the time and it would be nice to have a program like this on it. (a half off sale would be nice to)

| Hi chrsb,
Due to our current schedule of additions, it will be about another year or so before we look into a PDA version of Volts. However, most design engineers and EE's have also installed Volts on their laptops.
The current price of Volts is cheap in comparsion to its value and return on investment. Most design engineers are able to complete a couple of jobs during Volts' 10-day free trial period. With each job worth a minimum of $450.00 up to tens of thousands of dollars, Volts has paid for itself before it has been purchased! Electricans usually pay a design or electrical engineer $450.00 to perform basic branch and service sizing with reports. A lot of these engineers perform these computations with Volts.

| Thanks for the reply, I am an Project manager/estimator for a company and use my PDA alot. I didn't mean to imply that you were over charging for your program, I have seen programs that do half of what yours does for twice the money. I have been meaning to download a trial of your program and give it a try. I would mostly use a service, conduit and wire calculater. Thank you for your time,
Chris B
