Subject - no power
thepez i plugged in my vacumm cleaner in my game room and as soon as i went to turn it on, i could tell i blew a fuse, because the power went out. Just that wall has no power. I checked the circuit breakers and it does not seem that a fuse was tripped. Does anyone know of a different solution. Any HELP would be greatly appreciated.
Scott Vickrey I'm thinking you had a bad connection that has become no connection.
The fact that the light is still working tells me the entire circuit is not dead. Behind one of those receptacles or the light switch is a
wire that has been burned. Your going to have to call an electrician.
Don't worry it won't take them long to fix it and the materials will probably consist of an inexpensive receptacle. Don't put off getting this fixed.
JimmyDee Could be a broken wire in the vac cleaner cord as well. The plugs sometime become disconnected or broken inside the plug because we allow the cord to slam back into the vac cleaner.
