	Subject - New business tunahead I started a union Electric Contracting business,and was wondering how I could get my name out there and get some more work?Any ideas would be great,thank you zol_man tunahead, what is it that you are now doing to get work. please provide more info in your posts so that we dont talk about the things that you have already tried. tunahead I am working as a sub for a electrical outfit.I got the job through word of mouth.I was thinking about getting together a letter and sending it to some general Contractors.Thanks wandering sparky What direction are you trying to go? Residential ? commercial? service? all the above? I've read that meeting with some GC's is better than writting them. Faces are harder to forget than letters are. My father did alot of insurance work when he contracted. That might be another place to check. Also , local Chambers of Commerce might get you into some more doors. It might be small pickings now, but it might get you into some more lucritive contracts later. At least you will be making more contacts and getting your name out there more. Basicly bro, how big are you and how big do you want to be? I really wish you luck , who knows , I might be working for you someday. tunahead Thanks for your help.I have a good size job going on now,but I think I need 12 more hours in the day to take all the phone calls!I want to be commercial,Residential,and Later Industial.This job I'm on now will last about 1 month and a half,but I want to start bidding work on a daily basis.Thanks again,This website is a big help.Rob
