I have a 480volt single phase motor to which I'm adding supplemental overload protection in the form of in line fuses. Do I need to instal 1 or 2?

| Thanks, I already checked in code quite extensively but can't seem to find exact clarifacation of the use of one or two fuses.

| If you are using fuses for supplemental protection, then you need to use one in each ungrounded conductor:
quote:
430.36 Fuses - In Which Conductor. Where fuses are used for motor overload protection, a fuse shall be inserted in each ungrounded conductor....
