Is it against the code to run shielded communication wire in the same conduit as power wire even though the power wire and communication wire is serving the same dedicated equipment.

| They both have to be insulated for 600 volts. Jim

| As far as I know, com wire can never been installed in the same raceway as power. What is going to happen when a mettalic fault occurs in the raceway concerning the power conductors is what the concern would be. I believe there are limitations asto attaching communication wire to the exterior of electrical raceways.

| The code specifically states that communication wiring must be separated from electricial power by at least 3". No communication wiring shall be supported electrical conduits, strapping, etc. I also don't believe that the communication wiring is rated for 600 volts, only 300 volts. Thanks Alfred Johnson
