	Subject - 400hp motor with soft start CaApprentice If a 400 hp AC motor utilizing a soft start drive failed to run, What would you check first? what would you NOT do? Thanks skynrd Is there a fault showing on the drive. devo Check to see if the heaters and fuses are good, open the pecker head and see if voltage is there, then if still good check rotation (assuming 3 phase) motor may have been hooked up incorrectly initially and fried
