I have a Jet planer that has a 5hp, 3ph, 60hz, 3450rpm, 230/460v motor. Is there some way to convert this to run off of single phase? I am in a 3rd world country, and don't have many options. I would really like to convert this if I can. I was supposed to have received the same planer, but with a 3hp, 1ph, 230v motor, but I am stuck with this one.

| There is piece of equipment called a "phase converter" that you can us to run this motor.That is the only way. Just not to sure where to get one. You will need to tell them the load of the motor , voltages
