	Subject - Tennessee Licensing DFH Will Tennessee recognize Electrical contractors license from Kentucky? Alfred DH: I am in the process of licensing with Tennessee myself. The application reads as follows: The Stte of Tennessee has entered into a trade exam reciprocal agreement with various licensing agencies in the states of Alabama (general, residential, and HVAC), Arkansas (General contracting and Electrical); Georgia; Louisiana; Mississippi and South Carolina. Reciprocation is with the TRADE exam, only (exam must be comparable to Tennessee's). The contractor must still pass the Tennessee Business and Law exam, complete the application with all financial requirements, interview with the Board, attach copies of their license, exam scores, register their corporation or LLC with Tennessee Secretary of State and have their state complete a License Verification. You can get a copy of the application from Tennessee Board for Licensing Contractors, Davy Crockett Tower, Suite 110, 500 James Robertson Parkway, Nashville, TN 37243-1150. I don't believe that Kentucky qualifies but they might make an exception. All you can do is try. Hope this helps.
